Reterra Group acquires Floragard shareholder factory Strenge

Floragard

The Floragard Group from Oldenburg, Germany, announces that the substrate factory Heinrich Strenge GmbH & Co. KG, based in Ostrhauderfehn, has been acquired by the Reterra Group, which belongs to REMONDIS. At the same time, the shares in the Floragard Group previously held by Strenge are being transferred to Reterra. The transaction is subject to approval by the German Federal Cartel Office.

The current managing directors, Christian Strenge and Henning Strenge, will continue to manage the Strenge factory without change. Christian Strenge will also remain a member of Floragard’s Supervisory Board. The Strenge family’s Baltic activities are excluded from the transaction and will remain family-owned as supplier plants to Floragard.

With the Reterra Group, a strong player is joining the network of shareholders. As a specialist in the processing and marketing of organic raw materials, this partnership provides Floragard’s production sites with long-term and reliable access to raw materials — particularly in the area of sustainable input materials.

Ulrich von Glahn

“I am delighted to welcome REMONDIS, a giant of the industry, to our circle of shareholders. Value chains for sustainable raw materials will play an even greater role in the soils and substrates sector in the future. This makes it all the more important to have strong partners at our side with whom we can ensure security of supply, quality, and long-term viability,” says Floragard Managing Director Ulrich von Glahn.
