Due to its characteristics the raw material peat can be used as an ideal and a practical litter for turtles and other reptiles. It can also be used as litter for cages for hamsters or rabbits. The substrate for turtles and terrariums and the Floratorf® Boy impress with ideal absorption of liquids, prevention of unpleasant smells and the raw materials are 100% natural. The composition of the substrate for turtles and terrariums was developed in cooperation with the head reptile keeper of the zoo in Berlin. The zoo uses the product in terrariums and compounds of different tortoises and snakes – ideal for laying their eggs and for hibernating in winter. After usage this product can be recycled – it can be used as a valuable bio fertilizer in a bed, therefore a costly disposal will not be necessary.
